Notes:
Leon was purchased from Beth Kown at Silver Lox Rabbitry (Formerly High Rocks Rabbitry) on August 10, 2018. Although nearly 5 years old at the time, he looked to be in good condition (other than he was in molt as pictured) and he had some stiffness in his back legs, which was likely arthritis. I believe he was worth at least one breeding season to set better depth and shorter body in my breeding program.
Because of his age, I often would call him "Old Man." I was Leon's fifth and last owner.
Leon proved to be fertile throughout the 2018-2019 breeding season. However, his back legs were weakening and he tired out with a doe who rather be chased down. Even so, we are hoping for him to sire a few more kindles at the beginning of the 2019-2020 breeding season, but it was not to be. Arthritis and atrophy in his back legs made it impossible for him to breed and he was culled from our program. Thankfully, he gave me a son, GC Tale of Tails Kieran who looks almost exactly like him.
