Notes: Misty Blue Too was the daughter of my very first doe, Misty Blue. I was not considering showing when I decided to keep for our meat rabbit program so her show quality was lacking in many areas but she had other traits that I really loved. Misty Blue Too was just super sweet and she was the kind of doe who loved being a mom. Unlike her mother, she was easy to breed and would not even wean her kits if they were left with her. Like her mother, she produced lots of milk and had faster-growing kits because of it.
Although I was only planning on getting meat rabbits from Misty Blue Too, her second breeding with Leon produced Inola, who did well in the fall of 2019. Whenever someone advises culling a rabbit from another's program based only on type and fur, I point them to how Misty Blue Too produced a Grand Champion, who also had great mothering skills and was a high milk producer. Misty Blue Too had the best of what I wanted in a doe on the inside.
